Method
Cooking the Rice
- 1
Rinse the Rice
In a fine mesh strainer, rinse 1 cup of white rice under cold running water until the water runs clear, removing excess starch for fluffier rice.
- 2
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, 2 cups of water, and 1 tsp of salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the water is fully absorbed and the rice is tender.
