Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into fries. You can peel them if desired.

  3. 3

    Season the Fries

In a bowl, toss the cut fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Bake the Fries

Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 5

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.

  2. 6

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  3. 7

    Cook the Burger Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 8

    Add Blue Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with blue cheese and cover to allow it to melt.

Sautéing the Mushrooms

  1. 9

    Melt Butter

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

  2. 10

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 11

    Toast the Buns

In the same skillet used for the mushrooms, toast the burger buns cut side down until golden brown.

  2. 12

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a generous handful of arugula, followed by the burger patty topped with melted blue cheese, and sautéed mushrooms.

  3. 13

    Add Garlic Aioli and Tomatoes

Spread garlic aioli on the top half of the bun, and add herb roasted tomatoes if desired.

  4. 14

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger and serve immediately with the fries.
