Main Ingredients

Salsa Rosa

Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meats and Cheese

Slice the smoked ham, provolone cheese, and sopressata salami into thin strips. Chop the chives finely and set aside.

Making Salsa Rosa

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Cartoccio

Take a large piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil. Layer the sliced smoked ham, provolone cheese, and sopressata salami in the center. Sprinkle the chopped chives over the top.

  2. 4

    Add Salsa Rosa

Drizzle a generous amount of salsa rosa over the layered ingredients.

  3. 5

    Wrap and Seal

Fold the parchment or foil around the ingredients, creating a sealed packet. Ensure there are no openings to prevent the steam from escaping.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Cook the Cartoccio

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the wrapped cartoccio on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the cheese to melt.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Carefully unwrap the cartoccio and serve hot. Enjoy the delicious combination of smoked ham, provolone, sopressata, and the creamy salsa rosa.
