Salad Base

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Remove the outer leaves if they are wilted or damaged. Dry the leaves using a salad spinner or pat them dry with a clean towel. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Croutons and Parmesan

Once the romaine is ready, add the croutons to the bowl. Grate or shave the parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the top of the salad.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, minced garlic (crushed or finely chopped), Worcestershire sauce, and anchovy paste. Whisk the mixture until it is smooth and well combined.

  2. 4

    Season the Dressing

Taste the dressing and add salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as necessary, ensuring that the flavors are balanced.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Salad and Dressing

Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad mixture in the bowl. Use tongs or salad servers to gently toss the salad until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.

  2. 6

    Serve the Salad

Divide the salad into individual serving plates or bowls. Optionally, sprinkle additional parmesan cheese on top before serving. Enjoy your Caesar salad fresh!
