Method

Brewing Coffee

  1. 1

    Prepare the Drip Filter

Place the Vietnamese drip filter (phin) on top of a glass or cup. Ensure the filter is clean and dry.

  2. 2

    Add Coffee Grounds

Add 2 tablespoons of Vietnamese coffee grounds into the filter chamber. Spread them evenly.

  3. 3

    Add Water

Boil 120 ml of water and let it cool for about 30 seconds. Pour a small amount of water over the coffee grounds to moisten them, allowing them to bloom for about 30 seconds.

  4. 4

    Brew the Coffee

Slowly pour the remaining hot water into the filter. Allow the coffee to drip through completely. This should take around 4-5 minutes.

Assembling the Drink

  1. 5

    Prepare the Glass

While the coffee is brewing, fill a glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup).

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Once the coffee has finished brewing, carefully remove the drip filter. Pour the brewed coffee over the ice in the glass.

  3. 7

    Add Sweetened Condensed Milk

Add 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk to the coffee and stir until well mixed.
