Method

Preparing the Dough

  1. 1

    Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix with a wooden spoon or your hands until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as needed.

Rolling and Cutting

  1. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion on a floured surface until thin, about 1/8 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Cut into Shapes

Using a knife or cookie cutter, cut the rolled dough into desired shapes (squares or circles) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 7

    Add Optional Toppings

If desired, sprinkle the cut crackers with sesame seeds, chili flakes, and dried herbs.

  3. 8

    Bake the Crackers

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

  4. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve as a crunchy snack!
