Chicken Wings
Sweet and Spicy Sauce
Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot enough for a crispy finish.
- 2
Prepare the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss them until evenly coated.
- 3
Brush with Oil
Drizzle the vegetable oil over the chicken wings and mix well to ensure they are coated.
- 4
Arrange on a Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place the chicken wings on the sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.
Cooking the Wings
- 5
Bake the Wings
Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Making the Sweet and Spicy Sauce
- 6
Mix the Sauce Ingredients
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Stir until well mixed.
- 7
Simmer the Sauce
Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Tossing and Serving
- 8
Toss Wings in Sauce
Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the sweet and spicy sauce over them. Toss until all wings are well coated.
- 9
Serve
Serve the wings immediately while they are hot, garnished with additional sauce if desired.
