Chicken Skewers

Peanut Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Skewers

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, ginger, cumin, brown sugar, and salt. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.

  3. 3

    Prepare Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill. After marinating, thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers.

Preparation of Peanut Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, sriracha, minced garlic, and water.

  2. 5

    Heat the Sauce

Stir the mixture until well combined and heat through, bringing to a gentle simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Grilling the Skewers

  1. 6

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Grill the Chicken

Place the chicken skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with the peanut sauce on the side for dipping.
