Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, minced garlic, minced ginger, finely chopped red chili, fish sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Betel Leaves

Rinse the betel leaves under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Beef

Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the pan, spreading it out in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Rolls

Once the beef is cooked, take a betel leaf and place a spoonful of the cooked beef in the center. Top with chopped peanuts and fresh coriander. Carefully fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll it tightly to form a wrap.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Arrange the beef betel rolls on a serving platter. Serve immediately while warm, optionally with lime wedges on the side.
