Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the ham into small cubes and grate the Gruyère cheese. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and add the salt and black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, ensuring it coats the bottom of the pan.

  3. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs into the heated skillet. Allow them to sit for a few seconds until they start to set around the edges.

  4. 5

    Add Ham and Cheese

Gently stir the eggs with a spatula, pushing them from the edges to the center. When the eggs are about halfway cooked, add the ham and Gruyère cheese. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are soft and slightly runny.

  5. 6

    Finish Cooking

Remove the skillet from heat while the eggs are still slightly undercooked. The residual heat will finish cooking them.
