Method

Cooking Pasta

1

Cook the Spaghetti

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Preparing Shrimp

2

Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Making Tomato Fondue

3

Prepare the Creamy Tomato Sauce

In the same skillet, add the canned crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

4

Combine Everything

Add the cooked spaghetti and sautéed shrimp to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.

5

Finish with Fresh Ingredients

Stir in chopped basil and grated grana padano. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

Serving

6

Serve

Plate the garlic shrimp spaghetti, garnishing with additional basil and grated grana padano if desired. Enjoy!
