Prepare Jalapeño Cream Cheese

Make the Cream Cheese Spread
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, lime juice, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
Prepare the Burger

Form the Patties
In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese and a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.
Assemble the Burger

Toast the Sourdough
While the cheese is melting, toast the sourdough slices on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble
Spread a generous amount of jalapeño cream cheese on one side of each slice of sourdough. Place the cheesy burger patty on top, sprinkle with bacon bits, and top with another slice of sourdough.

Cut the grilled cheeseburger in half and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
