Burger Components

Jalapeño Cream Cheese

Method

Prepare Jalapeño Cream Cheese

  1. 1

    Make the Cream Cheese Spread

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, lime juice, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Prepare the Burger

  1. 2

    Form the Patties

In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese and a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Sourdough

While the cheese is melting, toast the sourdough slices on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Assemble

Spread a generous amount of jalapeño cream cheese on one side of each slice of sourdough. Place the cheesy burger patty on top, sprinkle with bacon bits, and top with another slice of sourdough.

  3. 7

    Serve

Cut the grilled cheeseburger in half and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
