Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip them and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 4

    Add Goat Cheese

Place 1 oz of goat cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt slightly.

  3. 5

    Layer the Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread 2 tablespoons of tomato jam. Place the cooked patty with melted goat cheese on top, followed by a handful of arugula.

  4. 6

    Add Garlic Aioli

Drizzle or spread about 2 tablespoons of garlic aioli over the arugula.

  5. 7

    Finish with Balsamic Reduction

Drizzle a tablespoon of balsamic reduction on top of the aioli and close the burger with the top half of the bun.
