Prepare the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the baguette into small cubes (about 1-inch in size).
- 2
Season the Croutons
In a large bowl, toss the cubed baguette with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
- 3
Bake the Croutons
Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, tossing halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Caesar Dressing
- 4
Make the Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk together until smooth.
- 5
Season the Dressing
Add black pepper to the dressing mix to taste. Adjust any ingredients as desired.
Assemble the Salad
- 6
Prepare the Lettuce
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 7
Add the Cheese
Grate the Pecorino Romano cheese and sprinkle it over the romaine lettuce.
- 8

Add the homemade croutons and Caesar dressing to the salad. Toss gently until all ingredients are well combined and coated with the dressing.

Serve the Salad
Serve immediately on individual plates or in a shared bowl. Optionally, garnish with additional cheese and black pepper.
