Prepare the Shaker
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice to chill the ingredients.

Combine Ingredients
Pour 2 oz of gin and 0.5 oz of dry vermouth into the shaker.

Shake it Up
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.

Garnish
Add an olive to the center of the drink as garnish.
