Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Assemble the rangoons

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also fold the corners of the triangle to the top to create a wonton shape.

  3. 3

    Heat the oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there is enough oil to submerge the rangoons.

  4. 4

    Fry the rangoons

Carefully drop the rangoons into the hot oil, a few at a time, without overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the rangoons hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
