Cooking Instructions

   Prepare the Patties

   In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into four equal-sized patties.

   Cook the Patties

   Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium, or until desired doneness.

   Add Cheese

   In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

   Toast the Buns

   While the cheese is melting, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

   Assemble the Burgers

   Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of the buns. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Cover with the top half of the buns.

   Serve

   Serve immediately with additional condiments on the side.
