Method
Prep
- 1
- 2
Measure and have all cocktail ingredients ready. Fill a rocks glass or coupe with fresh ice (if serving on the rocks) or chill the coupe in the freezer for 5–10 minutes if serving neat.
Build & Shake
- 3
Add 1.5 oz blanco tequila, 0.5 oz Palomo mezcal, 0.5 oz amaro, 0.75 oz aloe vera juice, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz agave syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters into a cocktail shaker.
- 4
Fill the shaker with ice (about 4–6 medium cubes). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well-chilled and slightly diluted.
- 5
Double-strain the shaken cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into the prepared glass: over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or into the chilled coupe if serving neat.
Finish & Garnish
- 6
Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim. If using, add a small edible aloe gel cube or a thin aloe leaf slice laid on the rim or floated on top for an herbal visual cue.
- 7
Serve immediately. The Desert Lily balances bright lime and aloe freshness with smoky mezcal and the bittersweet herbal complexity of amaro.
