Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Dice the red and green bell peppers, onion, and celery into small, even pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Proteins

Slice the grilled chicken, andouille sausage, and tasso ham into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Trinity Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced red and green bell peppers, onion, and celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add the Proteins

Stir in the sliced grilled chicken, andouille sausage, and tasso ham into the skillet with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until heated through.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

Add the canned diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  4. 6

    Cook the Pasta

While the sauce is simmering, cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions in a separate pot until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  5. 7

    Combine Everything

Once the sauce has simmered for about 10 minutes, add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet. Stir everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  6. 8

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve the Pasta Jambalaya hot. Enjoy!
