Prepare Mint
Take 10 fresh mint leaves and place them in the bottom of a sturdy glass or a traditional julep cup.

Add Simple Syrup
Pour 1 oz of simple syrup over the mint leaves in the glass.

Muddle Ingredients
Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils and aroma. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much.

Add Bourbon
Pour 2 oz of Woodford Reserve bourbon into the glass over the muddled mint and syrup.

Add Ice
Fill the glass with crushed ice to the brim, packing it down gently.

Mix and Garnish
Stir the mixture gently to combine the ingredients. Garnish with a sprig of mint on top.

Serve
Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy your refreshing Mint Julep!
