Method

Fried Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Breading

In one bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In a second bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.

  3. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally back into the flour mixture to ensure they are well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into even-sized sticks.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat.

  4. 9

    Fry the Fries

Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

Cocktail Sauce

  1. 10

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.

Tartar Sauce

  1. 11

    Prepare the Tartar Sauce

In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, lemon juice, and salt until well combined.
