Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix and Shape

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground black Angus beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Shape the mixture into a patty approximately 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a crust forms. Flip the patty and place the slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 3

    Toast the Bun

While the patty is cooking, toast the burger bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place the lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheddar. Add the tomato slice, pickles, ketchup, and mustard on top of the patty. Finally, place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients.

Serve

  1. 5

    Enjoy Your Burger

Serve the burger immediately while hot, with your choice of side (fries, salad, etc.) and enjoy!
