Method
Salad Directions
- 1
Prepare the Strawberries
Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Slice them into thin pieces and place them in a small bowl. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar over the strawberries and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Spinach
In a large salad bowl, add the fresh spinach leaves. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel or salad spinner to remove excess moisture.
- 3
Add Walnuts and Blue Cheese
Sprinkle the candied walnuts and blue cheese crumbles over the spinach in the salad bowl.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Once the strawberries have marinated, add them to the salad bowl along with any leftover balsamic vinegar from the marinating process.
- 5
Slice the Pear
Thinly slice the ripe pear and add the slices on top of the salad.
- 6
Season the Salad
Sprinkle cracked black pepper over the salad, to taste. Toss all ingredients gently to combine, ensuring not to crush the blue cheese.
- 7
Serve
Divide the salad into serving plates or bowls and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
