Fruit
Optional Dressing & Garnish
Method
Fruit
Prepare strawberries
Rinse 1 cup strawberries under cold water, remove stems, and slice into halves or quarters depending on size. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
Prepare blueberries
Rinse 1 cup blueberries and add to the bowl with the strawberries. Discard any soft or moldy berries.
Prepare grapes
Rinse 1 cup green grapes, pat dry, then slice each grape in half. Add to the mixing bowl.
Prepare pineapple
If using fresh pineapple, core and cut enough to yield 1 cup of bite-sized pieces. Rinse briefly and add to the bowl. If using pre-cut, measure and add directly.
Prepare kiwis
Peel and slice 2 kiwis into rounds or half-moons and add them to the bowl.
Gently toss all fruit together with a flexible spatula or salad servers until colors are evenly distributed and pieces are mixed without crushing.
Optional Dressing & Garnish
Make dressing
In a small bowl or jar combine 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup), 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lime zest, and 1/8 teaspoon sea salt. Whisk or shake until smooth and slightly runny.
Finish fruit
Pour the dressing over the tossed fruit and gently fold through to coat evenly. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding a little more honey or lime juice if desired.
Add mint and serve
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint over the salad and give one final gentle toss. Serve immediately for best texture, or chill in the refrigerator up to 2 hours before serving.
