Caramelized Apple Crème Caramel Recipe
Crème Caramel is a classic dessert, and is the French version of flan. Because the custard can be made ahead of time, it’s a lovely dessert to serve when hosting. We’re serving ours with caramelized apples and kouign amann croutons.

Bake the Custard
Pour the custard mixture over the caramel in the ramekins. Place ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 45-50 minutes, or until set. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
