Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
