Tea Preparation
Prepare the Botanicals
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried chamomile flowers, dried hibiscus petals, dried rose hips, dried lemon balm, and dried peppermint leaves. Mix them together gently to ensure an even distribution of the botanicals.
Boil the Water
In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
Infuse the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and immediately add the mixed botanicals. Cover the pot and let it steep for 15 minutes.
Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to remove the solid botanicals, creating a smooth tea base.
Cool the Tea
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, you can store it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
