Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until you have a smooth marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Paneer

Cut the paneer into cubes and add them to the marinade. Gently fold to ensure all paneer cubes are coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavor.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the bell peppers and onion into large chunks. These will be interspersed with the paneer on the skewers.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Prepare the Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Once soaked, thread the marinated paneer cubes, bell peppers, and onion chunks onto the skewers, alternating between the ingredients.

  2. 5

    Grill the Skewers

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Once grilled, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges on the side.
