Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Saffron
In a small bowl, steep the saffron strands in 2 tablespoons of warm water for about 10 minutes to release their color and flavor.
- 2
Cook the Tagliatelle
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- 3
Make the Nage
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the Alaskan King Crab and Jonah Crab meat, sautéing gently for about 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Add the saffron mixture, lemon juice, lemon zest, and butter to the skillet. Stir until the butter melts and everything is well combined.
- 5
Mix with Pasta
Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- 6
Season and Serve
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
