Instructions
- 1
Prepare the espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso and let it cool. If desired, add coffee liqueur to the espresso.
- 2
Whip the cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 3
Mix mascarpone
In a separate bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract. Gently fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
- 4
Soak the ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 5
Layer the tiramisù
In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 6
Chill and serve
Cover the tiramisù and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
