Preparing the Nachos

Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Layer the Nachos
On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread half of the tortilla chips. Top with half of the cooked meat, refried beans, and queso cheese sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining chips, meat, beans, and queso.

Bake the Nachos
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the nachos for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the chips are crispy.

Add Toppings
Remove the nachos from the oven and immediately add your choice of toppings such as jalapeños, tomatoes, sour cream, green onions, olives, and guacamole.
