Shrimp and Bacon

Chipotle Cream Sauce

Method

Shrimp and Bacon Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Add sliced jalapeños and cook for an additional minute.

  3. 3

    Combine Shrimp and Bacon

Return the crispy bacon to the skillet with the shrimp and jalapeños, stirring to combine. Remove from heat.

Assembling the Tacos

  1. 4

    Prepare Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.

  2. 5

    Fill Tortillas

On each tortilla, layer the sautéed shrimp and bacon mixture, followed by a sprinkle of shredded jack cheese.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Top each taco with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro.

Chipotle Cream Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine sour cream and minced chipotle. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Tacos

Drizzle the chipotle cream sauce over the tacos. Serve with a side of fresh salsa and heated black beans.
