Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
If not already cooked, grill or bake the chicken breast until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Once cooked, let it cool for a few minutes before shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Prepare the Vegetables
In a large mixing bowl, add the thinly sliced cabbage, sliced mushrooms, and mandarin orange segments. Toss gently to combine.
- 3
Combine the Salad
Add the shredded chicken to the bowl of vegetables. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 4
Add Wonton Strips
Just before serving, sprinkle the wonton strips over the top of the salad for added crunch.
Dressing Preparation
- 5
Mix the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the grated ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper until well combined.
- 6
Dress the Salad
Pour the ginger sesame dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
