Method
Biscuits
- 1
Prepare the Biscuit Dough
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 2
Combine the Ingredients
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. The dough should be slightly sticky.
- 3
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or a glass.
- 4
Bake the Biscuits
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Bacon
- 5
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the thick-cut bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Honey Butter
- 6
Prepare the Honey Butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and local honey. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired.
