Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty, ensuring it is about the same diameter as your burger bun.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patty

In the same skillet, use the bacon drippings to cook the beef patty. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Add the cheddar cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, spread the BBQ sauce. Place the cooked beef patty with melted cheddar on top. Layer on the crispy bacon, pickled jalapeños, and crispy fried onions. Top with the other half of the bun.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve the burger immediately while hot, with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
