Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the bulgur

In a bowl, soak the bulgur wheat in warm water for about 30 minutes until it becomes tender. Drain any excess water and set aside.

  2. 2

    Chop the vegetables

Finely chop the fresh parsley, mint, and slice the green onions. Dice the tomatoes and cucumber into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Combine the salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, cucumber, green onions, and soaked bulgur. Mix well to combine.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 5

    Dress the salad

Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to ensure that all ingredients are well coated.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the tabbouleh

Let the tabbouleh sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature, garnished with additional mint if desired.
