Main Ingredients

Marinade

Lemon Butter

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse them under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 5

    Grill the Asparagus

While the salmon is grilling, place asparagus spears on the grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and slightly charred.

Lemon Butter Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Lemon Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the lemon zest, chopped parsley, and salt to taste. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place the grilled salmon on a serving plate alongside the grilled asparagus. Drizzle the lemon butter over the salmon and asparagus before serving.
