Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

If using frozen shrimp, thaw them under cold running water. Peel and devein the shrimp if not pre-prepared. Pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 6

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip them over.

  4. 7

    Finish Cooking

After flipping, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice, stirring to coat the shrimp. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until shrimp are fully cooked and opaque.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy your garlic shrimp!
