Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a baking sheet or pizza stone inside to heat.
- 3
Shape the Flatbread
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangular shape about 1/4 inch thick.
- 4
Add Toppings
Transfer the rolled dough to a piece of parchment paper. Sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the surface, then layer the salami, followed by the mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Finally, sprinkle the crushed red chili flakes on top.
- 5
Bake the Flatbread
Carefully slide the parchment paper with the flatbread onto the preheated baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 6
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
