Flatbread Preparation

Make the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape and Cook
Divide the dough into equal pieces, roll into flatbreads, and cook in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.

Add Tamarind
Stir in tamarind paste, adding water if necessary. Simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the beef is tender.
Pickled Turnips Preparation

Pickle the Turnips
In a pot, combine water, vinegar, and salt. Add sliced turnips and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.

In a food processor, combine toasted almonds, sesame seeds, dried herbs, cumin seeds, and salt. Pulse until coarsely ground.
