Fish and Toppings

Spicy Lime and Avocado Mayonnaise

Method

Prepare Fish

  1. 1

    Season and Cook Fish

Season the whitefish fillets with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of oil and sear the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through and flaky. Remove from heat and let rest.

Make Salsa

  1. 2

    Combine Salsa Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, lime juice, and salt. Set aside for flavors to meld.

Prepare Mayonnaise

  1. 3

    Mix Avocado Mayonnaise

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mashed avocado, lime juice, hot sauce, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 4

    Build the Tacos

Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave. On each tortilla, place a portion of the seared fish, top with sliced cabbage, fresh salsa, a drizzle of avocado mayonnaise, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
