Method
Pasta Preparation
Make the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs and olive oil. Gradually incorporate the flour into the eggs using a fork until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll and Cut
After resting, roll out the dough using a pasta machine or a rolling pin to your desired thickness. Cut into penne shapes and let them dry for a bit.
Baguette Preparation
Prepare the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add bread flour and salt, and mix until a dough forms.
Knead and Rise
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into loaves. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
