Method

Prepare the Chicken

  1. 1

    Bread the Chicken

In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. In another dish, whisk together eggs and buttermilk. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Glaze

  1. 3

    Make the Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Heat over medium heat until it simmers, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Sriracha Aioli

  1. 4

    Mix the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Stir until smooth.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Build the Sandwich

Spread a generous amount of sriracha aioli on the bottom half of each sesame bun. Place fried chicken on top, drizzle with the spicy glaze, add coleslaw, and top with pickles. Place the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
