Bang Bang Shrimp Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and shrimp. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat the Shrimp
Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk and let excess liquid drip off. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture until fully coated.
- 5
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the coated shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Make the Bang Bang Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha.
- 7
Toss the Shrimp
In a large bowl, toss the crispy shrimp with the bang bang sauce until well coated.
- 8
Serve
Plate the shrimp, drizzle with black truffle Oharas sauce, and sprinkle with sliced scallions. Enjoy!
