Brown Butter Queso

Tater Tots

Green Chili

Method

Prepare Steak

  1. 1

Season and Cook the Wagyu Strip

Season the Wagyu strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Make Steak Sauce

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.

Prepare Brown Butter Queso

  1. 3

    Make the Queso

In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it turns brown and has a nutty aroma. Add jalapeños and stir for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk and cream cheese until smooth. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Cook Tater Tots

  1. 4

    Bake Tater Tots

Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the package of tater tots. Spread frozen tater tots on a baking sheet, sprinkle with salt, and bake until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested Wagyu strip and serve with steak sauce drizzled over it, alongside the crispy tater tots and brown butter queso. Top with diced green chilies for an extra kick.
