1

Prepare glass

Chill an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water while you build the cocktail, or place it in the freezer for a few minutes.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 3 tablespoons Clase Azul Reposado tequila, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, 1 teaspoon orange liqueur, 1/2 tablespoon agave syrup, and 2 teaspoons orange bitters.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice. Put the lid on and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted on the outside.

4

Prepare serving glass

Discard the ice water from the chilled old-fashioned glass and add a large clear ice cube or fresh ice to the glass (about 1 cup by volume).

5

Strain and serve

Double-strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared glass over the large ice cube to remove small shards of ice and any pulp. This yields a smooth, cold drink that showcases the resting notes of the reposado.

6

Garnish

Express the oils of a lime wheel or orange twist over the cocktail, rub it around the rim if desired, and drop the garnish into the glass. Serve immediately.
