Ingredients for BBQ Belly Burger

Method

Directions to Prepare BBQ Belly Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the beef into two equally sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are cooked to your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, brush the patties with whiskey BBQ sauce.

  3. 3

    Fry the Pork Belly

In a separate pan, add a little cooking oil and heat over medium heat. Fry the smoked pork belly slices until crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Onion Rings

If not using pre-made, prepare hand-battered onion rings by coating onion slices in batter and frying them in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place a beef patty, followed by a slice of crispy pork belly, a generous amount of cheese sauce, and one onion ring. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve with French Fries

Serve the BBQ Belly Burger hot with a side of French fries and extra whiskey BBQ sauce for dipping.
