Ahi Tuna Tacos Ingredients

Method

Ahi Tuna Tacos Directions

1

Prepare the Ahi Tuna

In a bowl, mix olive oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat the Ahi tuna steak with the mixture. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

2

Sear the Tuna

Heat a skillet over high heat. Once hot, sear the marinated Ahi tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare. Remove from heat and let it rest.

3

Make the Slaw

In a separate bowl, combine shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeño, and vinegar. Toss well and let it sit for 10 minutes.

4

Prepare the Salsa

In another bowl, mix diced avocado, orange juice, and diced cucumber. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5

Make the Wasabi Sauce

In a small bowl, mix wasabi with a little water until it reaches your desired consistency.

6

Assemble the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet. Slice the seared tuna and place it on the tortillas. Top with jalapeño vinegar slaw, avocado-orange salsa, and drizzle with cucumber wasabi sauce.

7

Serve

Serve the tacos immediately with extra lime wedges on the side if desired.
