Pulled Pork

Country Roasted Chicken

Method

Pulled Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the apple cider vinegar and half of the barbecue sauce over the pork. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily.

  3. 3

    Shred and Serve

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Mix in the remaining barbecue sauce before serving.

Country Roasted Chicken

  1. 4

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken dry and rub it with olive oil, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Place the lemon halves and rosemary inside the cavity of the chicken.

  2. 5

    Roast the Chicken

Place the chicken breast-side up in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 6

    Rest and Serve

Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
