Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean and slice the shiitake mushrooms. Dice the speck into small pieces. Finely chop the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Ingredients

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the shiitake mushrooms and speck, cooking until the mushrooms are tender and the speck is slightly crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine the Pasta

Add the cooked farfalle pasta to the skillet. Stir in the black truffle butter and mix well. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Grate the Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the pasta and mix to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
